Spiderella: The Girl Who Spoke With Spiders is running a Kickstarter to fund its fulfillment and production. Spiderella tells the story of a girl who has three days to make the gowns for an upcoming costume ball. Tier options include digital and physical copies of the book, bookmarks, prints, commissions, and plushes. The Kickstarter ends on October 31.
Webcomic Alliance Podcast – 2018 is running a Kickstarter to fund software upgrades for the upcoming year. The Webcomic Alliance has been sharing tips for webcomic creators since 2010, and they continue to do so through podcasts and written articles. Tier options for this Kickstarter include digital and physical books from Webcomic Alliance members, a sponsor listing and credit on the podcast, a digital wallpaper, commissions, and a professional critique of your webcomic. The Kickstarter ends on October 31.
Fake Geek Girls Like Us is running an indieogo campaign to raise funds for the production of new publication “Googie Girls” and artist and editor fees. Googie Girls features full color illustrations, stories, and essays to explore science fiction through an inclusive queer feminist lens. Tier options include stickers, prints, postcards, original artwork, a physical copy of the zine, and more. The indiegogo campaign ends on November 1.
NSFW! Hard Drive Volume 1 is running a Kickstarter to fund its production and fulfillment. Hard Drive is the first in a queer sci-fi porn comic trilogy featuring comedy, adventure, and sex with robots, extraterrestrials, and humans. Tier options include digital and physical copies of Hard Drive volume 1 and signed prints. The Kickstarter ends on November 1.
MORDEO – Vampire and Werewolves Art Book is running a Kickstarter to fund its production. MORDEO is a hardbound foil-stamped art book illustrated by 36 artists with over 50 full color pages of werewolves and vampires depicted in both traditional and unexpected ways. Myth Calendar 2018 is running a Kickstarter to fund its production and pay its artists. The Myth Calendar features 18 artists whose illustrations explore myths using a selective color palette over 18 months, from January 2018 to June 2019. Wayward Sisters: An Anthology of Monstrous Women is running a Kickstarter to fund its production and fulfillment. Wayward Sisters is an anthology with 216 full-color pages featuring 25 stories with female and nonbinary monsters and creators. Tier options include digital and physical copies of the anthology, prints, and an enamel pin. The Kickstarter ends on November 9.
Bones: The Art Book Vol. 1 is running a Kickstarter to fund the book’s production and fulfillment, as well as help with the logo redesign and layout. Bones features the full color artwork of Jessica Lynn’s BONES girls in an 82-page softcover book and 96-page hardcover book. Tier options include digital, softcover, and hardcover editions of the book, prints, and original artwork. The Kickstarter ends on November 11.
Centralia 2050 Volume 1 is running a Kickstarter to fund its production and fulfillment. This first volume of Centralia 2050 collects the first three chapters of the cyberpunk mystery webcomic, which can be read here, into a perfect-bound volume of over 100 black and white pages. Tier options include digital and physical copies of the book, stickers, bookmarks, prints, and original artwork. The Kickstarter ends on November 14.
Circadia #1 is running a Kickstarter to fund printing and shipping fees and contribute to the pay of future artists. Circadia is a 5-issue comic that will feature different queer women and nonbinary artists on every issue, with this issue’s cover by Jen Bartel, interior art by Keezy Young, colors by MJ Erickson, and letters by Ariana Maher. Tier options include digital and physical copies of the first issue, a sticker, a postcard, a behind-the-scenes PDF, mini prints, and more. The Kickstarter ends on November 14.
You & I: A Collection of Vignette Comics is running a Kickstarter to fund its fulfillment and production. You & I is a 28-page full color work of comic vignettes exploring themes of isolation, overwhelm, and resilience. Tier options include digital and physical copies of the book, a physical copy of the comic 5×3, original artwork, and a commission. The Kickstarter ends on November 14.

Threadless is accepting design submissions for “Mid-Century Design” through October 27, mug designs through November 3, and dog designs through November 11. You can submit designs outside of contests anytime here.
The March for Science is accepting design submissions for a pin/button until October 23. The selected designer will receive $2500 and the opportunity to work with the March for Science on future projects.
The Alloy Anthology is accepting pitch submissions from mixed-raced creators and creative teams until October 27.
Paul Axel is accepting submissions to Boriquén: An Anthology for Puerto Rico until October 27. Proceeds will be donated to charity. Rights for the publication are listed as TBD, so keep that in mind!
StArt Faire is accepting submissions for its 20th issue until October 29.
The Gender Euphoria Zine is accepting written and illustrated submissions about the joy and euphoria of being trans and nonbinary until October 31. Contributors will be paid $50 per accepted work.
Lilies Anthology is accepting submissions to their spooky-themed 4th volume SPIDER LILY! Submissions close October 31.
Flora and Fungal: The 2018 Object Head Zine is accepting submissions until November 2. The zine will be distributed digitally for free.
The Manga Jiman Competition 2017 is accepting submissions of short comics from UK residents, including youth, until November 6. Selected winners may receive round trip flights to Japan, a Toshiba laptop, a Ricoh camera, and various manga.
Power & Magic Press is accepting submissions from non-binary creators for Heartwood: Non-binary Tales of Sylvan Fantasy until November 13. Selected contributors will be paid $105 per page along with Kickstarter bonuses and 10 complimentary copies of the anthology.
Augur Magazine is accepting submissions of speculative fiction, magical realism, poetry, graphic fiction, and comics until November 15.
Corpus: A Comic Anthology of Bodily Ailments is accepting pitch submissions through November 22. If selected, creators will receive $50 per comic page.
Recondite Hill is accepting horror comic pitches about monsters and eerie environments until November 24. Accepted artists will be given $10 per page with the possibility of Kickstarter bonuses.
Queerly Represent Me is accepting submissions of writing and art pertaining to queer representation in video games and any related intersections of diverse representation and expression in media until December 31 2017. Accepted submissions will be collected into a zine next year and all contributors will receive evenly split compensation depending on funds raised.
Weekly Shonen Jump is holding a Universal Manga Contest with MediBang! They’ve even made a free new program, Jump Paint, to help illustrate and tone your creation. You can submit up to 5 entries in any genre at a length of 55 pages or less. Submissions are due January 5, 2018.
The Silent Manga Audition‘s 9th competition event is accepting submissions through March 31, 2018. This SMA has a limit of 16 pages or less and a choice of three themes to select from. Comic submissions should be silent and without dialogue.

The Royal Geographic Society, in partnership with BBC Radio 4, is offering a £5,000 grant for travel to anywhere in the world through the Journey of a Lifetime Award.
